The Uncanny X-Men: Updated Family Tree

Posted by Grey Sunday, November 6, 2011

The Uncanny X-Men just got a little uncannier.

Mind-boggled by the current state of play for Marvel's not-so-merry mutants after the game-changing "Schism" event? Thanks to Comics Alliance, here's a little something to clear up the picture. Just a little.

In this handy Family Tree chart helpfully conjured by the folks from Comics Alliance, have a good look at the Extinction Team protocol from the tactical mind of Cyclops, and the various splinter cells in the organization chart.

No Wolverine? You must be missing out on Schism, the recently-ended major X-Men event that saw the split of Wolverine and Cyclops, leading the two down different paths.

Check out Comics Alliance's in-depth interview with Kieron Gillen, the writer of the newly-relaunched Uncanny X-Men series, for more on the intriguing new prospects of the Children of the Atom at Marvel Universe.

In addition, also check out this hilarious curriculum for the new students at Wolverine's recently-founded Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Designed by Irene Y. Lee and provided to Comics Alliance by Marvel, the curriculum revealed several truly peculiar classes like World History (1880 - 1950): An Eyewitness Account, with Professor Logan, and Sex Ed with Professor Remy Lebeau.
