The Amazing Spider-Man: New Poster

Posted by Grey Sunday, December 11, 2011

Columbia Pictures has released a new poster of The Amazing Spider-Man, promising audiences "The Untold Story" of Peter Parker.

Amid the whirlwind of The Dark Knight Rises-related news (manic coverage over the six-minute IMAX prologue attached to Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and the release of the new poster) this weekend, Columbia Pictures braved on to release a cool new poster for their very own upcoming live-action adaptation of an iconic comic book superhero, The Amazing Spider-Man.

A decidedly brooding piece which is a much-needed depart from Sam Raimi's colorful original trilogy, the poster cleverly featured Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker scaling a wall while casting a silhouette forming the iconic eight-legged Spider-Man logo.

Hit the jump to check out the cool poster that was released exclusively via SuperHeroHype.

And here's one with a lower resolution but without the watermark of SuperHeroHype.

(Updated December 14th 2011) Sony has released the high-resolution, un-water-marked version of the poster.

Directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Rhys Ifans, The Amazing Spider-Man opens in 3D on July 3rd, 2012.
