Jim Lee's Free Comic Book Day T-shirts Design

Posted by Grey Wednesday, December 21, 2011

DC Universe's The Source blog has unveiled Jim Lee's t-shirt design for 2012’s Free Comic Book Day.

First announced in October by DC Comics, we were all informed ahead of time that the Free Comic Book Day t-shirt will be designed by Jim Lee, the Co-Publisher of DC Comics with Dan DiDio and incidentally one of the most popular comic book artists of all time.

Last week, DC Universe's The Source blog unveiled the design, which is a nifty homage to a classic illustration by José Luis García-López.

Hit the jump to check out the cool t-shirt and bear in mind that they will be made available for order in January’s Diamond PREVIEWS catalog with all proceeds going to support the FCBD.

And here's the original piece that inspire the homage by Lee.
