After taking Star Wars to yet another level of collectibles coolness, LEGO takes on yet another epic movie franchise: J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.

Having seen the astonishing Sauron's Barad-dûr made in LEGO parts earlier last year, one can imagine the anticipation behind LEGO's recent acquisition, the epic movie franchise based on J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.

First announced by Warner Bros. Consumer Products and The LEGO Group last month, the full line-up has been unveiled earlier today by LEGO.
