Space: Punisher

Space, the final frontier. Punished.

During Marvel's "Amazing Spider-Man" panel at WonderCon, apart from the announcement of the totally expected return of The Lizard to the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man to coincide with the upcoming release of The Amazing Spider-Man film, a particularly quirky four-issue mini series was also announced: "Space: Punisher."

While one might probably be inclined to automatically throw that piece of announcement down the daily nonsense chute given the Punisher's history of one convoluted out-of-this-world reboot after another (Angelic demon-slayer, FrankenCastle, for starters), the mini series set to be released this July interestingly featured an alternate universe take on Frank Castle, bringing his never-ending mission from the streets to Space.

Written by Frank Tieri with art by Mark Texiera, "Space: Punisher" reimagines the Marvel Universe into a galactic crime saga ripe for the Punisher's taking as he come across twisted "space" version of other classic Marvel characters like the Hulk who accordingly will be like "The Moby Dick of space".
