Amid the media onslaught of Marvel Studios' The Avengers, Marc Webb's new take of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man brings on some promotional punches with the release of a new trailer and a couple of new posters.

It has gradually became considerably apparent that Columbia Pictures' release schedule for the first film in their reboot of Marvel's Spider-Man is perhaps unfortunately ill-timed, being sandwiched between the one-two punch of two mega-heavy hitters of superhero films with Marvel Studios' The Avengers in May and Warner Bros. Pictures' The Dark Knight Rises in July. Are we in abundance of superheroic cinema action? The answer to that question will have to wait till the Summer is over but for now all three films are shaping up to make this blockbuster Summer one to be remembered.

Ahead of its release in June, Columbia Pictures has released a new international trailer with some extended sequences over the previous trailer. Hit the jump to check out the trailer.

Like most teenagers his age, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret his father held…a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man. This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story. On July 3rd, 2012, the untold story begins.
