Hotel Transylvania: First Trailer - Undead Monday

Posted by Grey Monday, April 9, 2012

This Undead Monday, take a trip to Transylvania courtesy of renowned animation creator Genndy Tartakovsky.

Genndy Tartakovsky' Samurai Jack on Cartoon Network was easily one of the very best programs in the history of the channel and it has always been a shame that the Russian-born animator's Sym-Bionic Titan was not renewed for another season.

Now, with Tartakovsky moving on to Sony Pictures Animation, a new 3D computer-animated film is set to be released this September courtesy of the multi-Emmy Award-winner. While the involvement of Sandler as the voice of Dracula, the main protagonist of the film, isn't exactly a good sign for the film, we certainly have the faith in Tartakovsky to turn things around with this one.

Hit the jump to check out the first trailer of the film.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – to celebrate his daughter Mavis’s 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.
