The Man with the Iron Fists: First Look

You Can't Spell Kung Fu Without F and U.

With that amazing tagline of the year, we have our first look at the intriguing balls-to-the-walls insanity of RZA's upcoming action film, The Man with the Iron Fists.

Brace yourself for quite possibly one of the most unapologetically maddening action film to come along in a long, long time.

The Man with the Iron Fists.

Directed by Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, produced by Eli Roth (famous for both his directorial work with Cabin Fever and the Hostel film series, as well as his role as Donny "The Bear Jew" Donowitz in Inglourious Basterds), and apparently endorsed by Quentin Tarantino, The Man with the Iron Fists is ironically a no-nonsense, over-the-top, straight-up hardcore martial art film filled with... nonsense. But the kind of nonsense that are equally entertaining and balls-to-the-walls crazy.

Dying for a glimpse at what insanity awaits in the film set to be released later this year? Brace yourself and hit the jump for one hell of a roller-coaster ride in the first, and incidentally red-band trailer recently released.

Starring RZA as the eponymous character saddled with a pair of iron fists, the film also featured a stellar ensemble cast featuring Russell Crowe, Cung Le, Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Rick Yune, and former WWE Superstar David Bautista as a visually stunning ass-kicking machine with a most suitable namesake, Brass Body.

Here’s the official synopsis of the film:

Quentin Tarantino presents The Man With the Iron Fists, an action-adventure inspired by kung-fu classics as interpreted by his longtime collaborators RZA and Eli Roth. Making his debut as a big-screen director and leading man, RZA—alongside a stellar international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu—tells the epic story of warriors, assassins and a lone outsider hero in nineteenth-century China who must unite to destroy the clan traitor who would destroy them all.

Since his arrival in China’s Jungle Village, the town’s blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans’ brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people.

Blending astonishing martial-arts sequences from some of the masters of this world with the signature vision he brings as the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan and as one of hip-hop’s most dominant figures of the past two decades, RZA embarks upon his most ambitious, stylized and thrilling project to date.
