Transformers: Fall of Cybertron - Launch Trailers

Posted by Grey Tuesday, August 21, 2012

"The Fall of Their World... is the Beginning of Their Legend."

Eloquently put in the Final Launch Trailer for High Moon Studios and Activision's Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, witness the Fall of Cybertron today with the release of much-anticipated video game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

We have last checked out High Moon Studios and Activision's Transformers: Fall of Cybertron during its unveiling at the Spike Video Game Awards (VGA). There is no doubt that the first trailer was moving enough to pump up my long-thought-dead heart (thanks to Michael Bay and his epic film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon) for Hasbro's timeless franchise.

Today, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron hits the stores and a couple of final Launch Trailers have been released to promote the occasion. With that, we are once again inundated with some killer graphics and CG story-telling that we have come to associate with the title. However, a video game, in its essence, has little to do with its CG movies. Fortunately, we are pretty confident with this one given developers High Moon Studios' previous efforts for the franchise, 2010's well-received Transformers: War for Cybertron. For a change, War for Cybertron was the first genuinely good video game for the franchise throughout its long-standing history.

All said and done, wIth no further ado, hit the jump for the awesome final Launch Trailer.

The 90 Second Launch Spot.

To commemorate the occasion, we take another look at the impressive (though beset with relatively poor musical choices) trailers for the game.

Here's an awesome wallpaper of the title.

And here’s the official synopsis for the title:

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron transports you to the final days of the planet Cybertron where you will experience the darkest hours of the apocalyptic war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled journey through a wide range of missions and massive environments designed around each character’s unique abilities. The combat is intense as you dynamically transform between robot and vehicle form to change the battle as you choose.
