A Good Day to Die Hard: First Look

Posted by Grey Thursday, October 4, 2012

"Yippee-Ki-Yay." Truly the one film franchise that lives up to its namesake: Die Hard. And here's your first look at fifth instalment of the series with the release of the first trailer of A Good Day to Die Hard.

Next year's Valentine's Day gonna be A Good Day to Die Hard, according to good ol' John McClane, the ultimate stereotypical American straight-shooting, wise-cracking action hero first made famous by Bruce Willis back in the first Die Hard in 1988. Come 2013, we will be in for the fifth instalment of the evergreen film franchise 25 years after the original. And this time, apparently one McClane is not enough to do the job as junior, John "Jack" McClane, Jr. (Jai Courtney) joins his badass dad to take the war to some Russian terrorists this time.

Being the fifth instalment of an explosive franchise, you can rest your laurels this is going to be explosive. Hit the jump for perhaps one of the most explosion-heavy trailer in some time.

The unofficial plot synopsis, courtesy of Screenrant.com:

The story is set in Russia and begins with John McClane heading to Moscow to sweet talk some cops into letting his apparently-wayward son out of jail for something he did, but when he gets there, things surrounding his son’s arrest are not as they appear and world-threatening terrorist hijinks ensue.
