Seven Psychopaths: Six Cool Art Posters

Posted by Grey Saturday, October 13, 2012

This is sick. Just in time to coincide the release of Martin McDonagh's Seven Psychopaths, CBS Films is releasing six specially-commissioned artistic renditions of the cast of the film in this latest batch of  posters for the film.

The second collaboration between Colin Farrell and his partner-in-crime for 2008's In Bruges, Martin McDonagh, Seven Psychopaths is perhaps destined to be that sleeper cult film in today's cinematic world despite its stellar cast. Apart from the aforementioned Farrell, the crime comedy film written and directed by McDonagh also featured a cast of notable talents the likes of Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, and Tom Waits.

Gathering general positive reception since its world première at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, the film hit the big screens yesterday in North America. To commemorate the release of the film, CBC Films commissioned six artists to conjure six special artistically rendered posters of the "psychopaths" from the film. So where exactly is the elusive seventh poster? A contest for the seventh poster is currently held at the film's official Facebook page with the winner taking the much-coveted seventh place.

And now, with no further ado, hit the jump to check out the cool new posters.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Written and Directed by Oscar®-winner Martin McDonagh, the comedy Seven Psychopaths follows a struggling screenwriter (Colin Farrell) who inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends (Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell) kidnap a gangster’s (Woody Harrelson) beloved Shih Tzu. Co-starring Abbie Cornish, Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko and Zeljko Ivanek.

Also starring Olga Kurlenko and Abbie Cornish, Seven Psychopaths is now in the theatres.
