"They're here."

This Undead Monday, we take a look at We Buy Your Kidsawesome cover art for the re-release of the limited edition vinyl of Jerry Goldsmith’s Academy Award-nominated score for the 1982 horror classic, Poltergeist.

Directed by Tobe Hooper with Steven Spielberg co-writing and producing, Poltergeist remains to be one of the most influential horror film in cinema history, subtly reinventing the horror genre back in the glorious 1980s. Out of the numerous merits of the 1982 film, Jerry Goldsmith’s Academy Award-nominated score has been one of the highlights of the film having etched in the hearts and minds of many an individuals growing up in the 80s.

With that said, it goes without saying that any re-release of the well-regarded score on vinyl is truly a cause for celebration for any self-respecting horror film or soundtrack fanatic. Mondothe Alamo Drafthouse's collectible art boutique, continued its kick-ass ensemble of eclectic selection of vinyl soundtrack by re-releasing the score of Poltergeist on a limited edition vinyl complete with an appropriately awe-inspiring original cover art from the immensely talented dynamic duo of Australian illustrators Sonny Day and Biddy Maroney, collectively (and better-known) to most as We Buy Your Kids.
