Carrie: First Theatrical Trailer - Undead Monday

Posted by Grey Monday, April 8, 2013

This Undead Monday, we have more comprehensive look at the upcoming third film adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie with the release of its theatrical trailer.

Last Halloween, we had our First Look at Kimberly Peirce's film adaptation of one of Stephen King's most adapted novel, Carrie, with the first teaser trailer of the film. Given the staggering number of rebooted Hollywood franchises of late from RoboCop to Evil Dead, we were decidedly uncertain if the third film adaptation is necessary.

With the release of the first theatrical trailer of the film now released, we have a better look at the film and in turns, Peirce's dark vision of the material. With no further ado, hit the jump to check out the trailer.

Here’s the synopsis for the film:

A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Carrie is currently scheduled to be released on October 18, 2013.
