Daniel Nyari's Famous Robots

Posted by Grey Thursday, April 25, 2013

From comic relief, friendly sidekicks, the heroic warrior to world-ending nemesis, some of the most famous robots of pop culture assembled courtesy of artist Daniel Nyari

Like Zombies, Robots have been one of the longstanding elements of pop culture be it a comic relief in an epic space opera, the superhero in an iconic kid-friendly Manga series, or the world-ending antagonist in the near future. In one of his latest projects, artist Daniel Nyari assembled some of the most famous (or in some cases, most infamous) robots in the long history of pop culture to give us a comprehensive look at a who's who gallery of robots that we have known and loved (and hated).

Popular Culture has given us a wide array of memorable characters that, over time have become distinctly iconic. This project highlights specifically those non human, non animal characters from TV, Video Games, Cinema, and Comics that give us every reason to feel nostalgic. Highlighted here are transcendental characters from across the pop culture landscape including classic robots, modern robots and even some non-robots robots.
