World War Z: New TV Spot & Poster - Undead Monday

Posted by Grey Monday, April 15, 2013

This Undead Monday, Paramount's marketing engine behind the upcoming live action adaptation of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by German-Swiss film-maker Marc Forster and actor Brad Pitt continues with the release of a new TV spot as well as a new poster of the film.

In our earlier coverage on World War Z, the upcoming live action adaptation of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by German-Swiss film-maker Marc Forster and actor Brad Pitt, we have a more comprehensive understanding of the scale and scope of how this particular zombie apocalypse is depicted in the film: A real catastrophe in a real world.

In this new TV spot, the sense of crisis is once again the highlight. Hit the jump to check out the TV spot.

A new poster of the film has also been released with Brad Pitt surveying the destruction from a helicopter, a particular form of travel which incidentally has been a recurring theme of the marketing campaign with the posters and trailers. Well, based on what we saw earlier, it certainly isn't one that is safe for sight-seeing.

Here’s a synopsis for the film:

The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.

Co-starring Anthony Mackie, Matthew Fox, Mireille Enos, and James Badge Dale, World War Z is currently scheduled to be released on June 21, 2013.
