Chris Samnee' Six-Panel Take on Superman: The Movie

Posted by Grey Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Revisit the classic origin of the Last Son of Krypton with this six-panels art ingeniously conjured by Chris Samnee.

While there is no doubt by now that Zack Snyder's Man of Steel is indeed the box office juggernaut Warner Bros. had in mind, response to the film has been largely divisive. Negative opinions are mainly surrounding the controversial finish of the sense-shattering final act and the changes made to the classic origin of Superman himself. For those who would like to revisit the classic origin depicted in the first-ever Superman film, Chris Samnee has just the thing for us.

A while back someone on Twitter (so sorry I don't remember who) was talking about doing a movie as a six panel comic. When I heard the idea, I knew I wanted to do one for my favorite movie, Superman: The Movie. I never got around to it, but figured that Mitch's pick of Superman this (last) week could be a great time to give it a go! Hope you enjoy!
