Grand Theft Auto V: The Official Trailer

Posted by The Daily Zombies Thursday, August 29, 2013

In what is likely to be our final look at Grand Theft Auto V before the single most anticipated game of 2013 hit the stores,  we are once again reminded by Rockstar why this is, bar none, the undisputed Game of the Year.

Before we move on with anything at all, we felt compelled to ask the question: Does one require any further reasons to pick up Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V the very first moment it hits the stores (that will be 17 September, mark your calendar)? Our take on this question: None, after what we have seen thus far. We have seen the amazing gameplay trailer, we have taken a close look at the three players controlled protagonists: Michael, Trevor and Franklin, the revealing second trailer, and the announcement first trailer of the much-anticipated fifth installment in the critically acclaimed, best-selling Grand Theft Auto series. Nevertheless, ever the show-stopper, Rockstar has released an "Official Trailer" of the much-anticipated title ahead of its upcoming release in mere weeks.

Hit the jump to check out the awesome trailer for more of the same incredible gameplay elements we come to expect from the series.

And as if you still need even more enticing features from the title, Rockstar has unveiled their ambitious plan for Grand Theft Auto Online with this cool "Official Gameplay Video" and effortlessly concluded that our personal life will forever be lost with the release of the title.

Here's the description for the clip, followed by the actual trailer:

Watch the new Official Gameplay Video for Grand Theft Auto Online - which shows how we've taken the fundamental GTA concepts of freedom, ambient activity and mission-based gameplay and made them available to multiple players in an incredibly detailed and responsive online world.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, you'll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V.

Access to Grand Theft Auto Online is free with every retail copy of Grand Theft Auto V and launches on October 1st.

Here’s the official synopsis for the title:

Los Santos: a sprawling sun-soaked metropolis full of self-help gurus, starlets and fading celebrities, once the envy of the Western world, now struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty and cheap reality TV. Amidst the turmoil, three very different criminals plot their own chances of survival and success: Franklin, a street hustler looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score. Running out of options, the crew risks everything in a series of daring and dangerous heists that could set them up for life.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently scheduled to be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013.
