This Undead Monday, we take a look at two of the early but nonetheless impressive gothic horror films of auteur film-maker Guillermo del Toro's prolific cinematic career with the newly-released poster for the cover of Criterion Collection by Mondo. 



In 1993, the prolific career of auteur film-maker Guillermo del Toro kicked off with the well-received Mexican film, Cronos. In 2001, del Toro released The Devil's Backbone, another gothic horror film that effortlessly warmed its way with the critics.


With Mondo, the collectible art division of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema,  releasing the prints for the covers of both titles in the Criterion Collection, we take a look at these cool pieces conjured by two master artists in their own right. 


First up, we have the Cronos print put up by none other than Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy.
