Iron Man 3: Concept Art

Courtesy of illustrators Rodney Fuentebella and Phil Saunders, feast your eyes on the astonishing concept art of Iron Man Three

Unsurprisingly the numero uno at the box office for 2013 thus far, Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3 has a lot going for it serving its role as the follow-up to last year's The Avengers, the film that is currently at the number three spot of the all-time box office records in the world. No matter how you felt about Shane Black's take of the Armored Avenger's third cinematic outing, there is no doubt that one of its greatest strengths lie in its amazing armor designs and exceptional choreography.

And now, courtesy of illustrators extraordinaire Rodney Fuentebella and Phil Saunders, we take a look at the source of that particular strength: Concept art and design of the armors and action sequences. We strongly encourage heading over to the two illustrators' official page to check out the concept art complete with development notes to share. In the meantime, hit the jump to check out these awesome concept art pieces.

First up, the concept art by Phil Saunders.

And here are the concept art pieces conjured by Rodney Fuentebella.
