The Grand Budapest Hotel: First Look

Posted by The Daily Zombies Saturday, October 19, 2013

Auteur film-maker Wes Anderson makes his triumphant return next year with The Grand Budapest Hotel and we are delighted to present our First Look at the whimsical fantasy with a star-studded cast.

There are technically speaking, no absolutes in this world. But here at The Daily Zombies, it is an absolute pleasure for us to check out the films of Wes Anderson. The heightened reality highlighted by the distinctive visual and narrative styles of Anderson has been largely divisive among critics, but there is no doubt here that even his worst-regarded films are leaps and bounds above most Hollywood fares.

With The Grand Budapest Hotel, Anderson assembles an exhilarating star-studded cast featuring Saoirse Ronan, F. Murray Abraham, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Lea Seydoux, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwarztman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Tony Revolori, with Ralph Fiennes leading the cast as Gustave H, the legendary concierge of the titular hotel.

Here's the official synopsis of the film:

The Grand Budapest Hotel recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.  The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune — all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is set to be released on March 7th, 2014.
