WATCH Jonas Cuarón's Aningaaq

Puzzled about the cryptic conversation Sandra Bullock's character had in Alfonso Cuarón's critically acclaimed sci-fi film, Gravity? Here's an intriguing look at the other side of the conversation in Jonas Cuarón's 7-minute short film, Aningaaq.

Without going into too much of a spoiler for Gravityeasily one of the most acclaimed films of 2013, one of the most pivotal scenes in the film have interestingly turned out to be one of the most cryptic moments. When Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock's character in the film) desperately sent out a distress signal seeking for help, an unexpected conversation took place leading to a profound moment in the film.

For those who understood the native language of Greenlandic Inuit (or you just did some Wikipedia search for the answer), you will know that the person who intercepted Stone's transmission was actually a Greenlandic Inuit fisherman. But do you want to know more about the other side of this unlikely conversation?

Co-writer of the film and son of director, Jonas Cuarón has actually went ahead to shoot a 7-minute short film entitled "Aningaaq" to depict the conversation from the titular character's perspective. Originally envisioned as a cool extra to include on the Blu-ray release of Gravity, Warner Bros. Home Video has released Aningaaq online in a campaign to submit the cool short film for Oscar consideration in the Best Short Film category.

Hit the jump to check out the short film (we would have to warn those who have watched Gravity to ward off though despite the minuscule spoiler content).
