Merry Christmas from The Daily Zombies

Posted by The Daily Zombies Wednesday, December 25, 2013

On behalf of every single undead brain cells here at The Daily Zombies, we wish you a Merry Christmas.... by bringing you a unique ensemble of Season's Greetings around the world... wide web.

Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays? As pointless as this question might sound, the battle between both most commonly seen greetings are apparently, according to Dan Cassino, a professor of political science at Farleigh Dickinson, "an important symbolic issue". So much so that a poll was made to illustrate how Americans prefer "Merry Christmas" than "Happy Holidays".

Acting like we here at The Daily Zombies give a shit at such political jabberwocky, we wish you a... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hit the jump to check out some of the best Season's Greetings all around the world wide web that we have gathered.

First up, DC Comics summoned the artistic superiority of Eisner Award-winning artist Dave Johnson for their Christmas Card to depict the (might we add, the new and improved 52) Superman with some interesting snowflakes (via Robot 6).

Next up, we turned to artist PJ McQuade for some nifty Star Wars-themed Christmas Cards. Do head over to McQuade's Etsy page to purchase these cards if you are interested.

Meanwhile, courtesy of Comics Alliance, Dark Horse Comics unveiled their Christmas Card with a six-page greeting card/comic hybrid with an unfolding sequence conjured by Art Baltazar and Franco.

Meanwhile, a flash mob of nostalgia hits the streets of downtown New York as the cool folks of Mashable bring the iconic dance scene from A Charlie Brown Christmas to life. Hit the jump to check out the heart-warming clip (well at least for us old folks).

Happy Holidays from Housemarque, the Finnish video game company best known for its series of Super Stardust games.

Holiday greetings from the talented folks at Naughty Dog, a game studio that need no further introduction.

Holiday greetings from Zen Studio, the developer behind titles such as Star Wars Pinball.

Greetings from Guerrila Games, the developers behind the Killzone series.

Last but certainly not the least, we revisit Mike Maihack's World's Finest Gal Pal, Batgirl and Supergirl (who we have covered years ago) with the Christmas special that has become an annual tradition of the mini comic strip. Here are all three of them from the past years.

Happy Holidays!
