Happy Halloween, Dead Rising 3 Style

Posted by The Daily Zombies

This Halloween... Capcom gives All Hallows' Eve a big shout-out with an all-new Halloween trailer for their upcoming Xbox One-exclusive launch title Dead Rising 3.

Back in June during our coverage of this year's E3, we knew Capcom's upcoming Xbox One-exclusive launch title Dead Rising 3, is going to be one hell of a continuation of arguably the most madcap violent zombie-slaying adventures that we have come to accustomed with the franchise.

With All Hallows' Eve just round the corner, Capcom has released a fun-filled Halloween-themed trailer to give us a glimpse at how Treat or Trick is done in the ultra-violent game world of the much-anticipated sequel while reminding fans of the title's launch on 22nd November with a newly-announced Season Pass. Priced at $29.99, the Season Pass will allow purchasers to four upcoming DLC packs at a 25% discount.

The Season Pass will be available alongside the game's launch on November 22nd for $29.99, entitling purchasers to four upcoming content packs ("Operation Broken Eagle," "Fallen Angel," "Chaos Rising," and "The Last Agent") at a 25% discount. In the meantime, hit the jump to check out the funny little trailer in the spirit of Halloween.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - First Trailer

Posted by The Daily Zombies

Come Summer 2014, X marks the spot when it comes to blockbuster tentpole film.

All your favorite mutants, young and old, from the entire X-Men film series assemble in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. Brace yourself for the first trailer of the much-anticipated film.

While we certainly do not sense any fatigue of cinematic adaptation of comic book superheroes as what many has speculated since the game-changing success of Marvel Studios and their incredible phases of Marvel Cinematic Universe, superhero films do have to evolve in order to keep up with the neck-breaking pace and ever-changing taste of the audience. Which is why Superman is going to share the big screen (for the first time ever) with Batman, the Amazing Spider-Man is speculated to be taking on the Sinister Six with its third installment (yes, speculated one year before the release of its second installment), and the X-Men is taking on Days of Future Past.

We were more than excited back in August last year when we covered the announcement by Bryan Singer that the sequel to Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class would be entitled X-Men: Days of Future Past, a cinematic adaptation that will loosely based on arguably one of the most well-known story arcs of the storied history of Marvel's merry mutants. At the Comic-Con, the appearance of the entire cast of the film is reminiscent of the electricity one felt when the cast of The Avengers assembled for the first time ever at the same location as we covered the panel held at Hall H while unveiling the first posters.

With the film set to be released in less than eight months, 20th Century Fox has finally decided to kick off mutant mania by releasing the first trailer of the film. And with no further ado, hit the jump to check out the awesome trailer that sent the Hall H crowds into frenzy back at the Comic-Con panel.

While iO9 is never slow in providing their well-examined shot-by-shot analysis of the trailer, director Bryan Singer has spoken to Empire to give readers a detailed guided tour of the trailer. Head over to both sites for some intriguing insights of the film. For now, recollect your thoughts with these noteworthy screenshots from the trailer.

And here are some other awesome official images.

More Sentinel/Trask propaganda viral piece.

And here's a viral clip displaying the resolve of antagonist Bolivar Trask and his twisted propaganda that claimed that Homo Sapiens (that's us normal folks, for the uninformed) will be eliminated by 2030.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past — to save our future.

Directed by Bryan Singer and starring an incredible ensemble cast featuring Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, Lucas Till and Boo Boo Stewart, X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently scheduled to hit the theaters on May 23, 2014.

Universal’s Classic Monsters by Tom Whalen & Dark Hall Mansion - Undead Monday

Posted by The Daily Zombies

This Undead Monday ahead of All Hallows' Eve, Dark Hall Mansion joins forces with artist Tom Whalen to conjure their very own distinctive take on the very icons of Halloween themselves, the Universal's Classic Monsters.

Earlier on, we were thrilled to bring news on Mondo's release of the Universal Monster Series illustrated by the impeccable Jason Edmiston. Not one to be outdone on this All Hallows' Eve, Dark Hall Mansion has went on to team with another notable artist in his own right, Tom Whalen, in bringing on their renditions of the icons of Halloween themselves, the Universal’s Classic Monsters.

While Edmiston's works are of the highest regard when it comes to traditional renditions, Whalen conjured a highly-stylized rendition of your respective favorite Universal Monsters in an astonishing set of ten prints in both standard and "Silver Screen" variant editions in silver metalic inks.

Hit the jump to check out the “Universal Classic Monsters”, as iterated by Tom Whalen.
