Big Hero 6: First Teaser Trailer

Posted by The Daily Zombies Friday, May 23, 2014

The follow-up to last year's all-consuming Frozen, Walt Disney Animation Studios has finally unveiled the first teaser trailer of their next animated feature which is incidentally the first-ever collaboration between Marvel and Disney. Prepare yourself for Big Hero 6.

Since last year, we have been patiently awaiting news on Walt Disney Animation Studios' animated feature film for 2014 due to the simple fact that this particular project would be technically the first-ever collaboration between the two pop culture giant. With Disney's acquisition of Marvel back in 2009, we all knew it is only a matter of time before Disney taps into the House of Ideas to conjure something truly unique.

After all, we are talking about one of the gazillion upstart superhero group from Marvel and we have so many of the truly marvelous ones that have never ever grace the big screens (for starters, The Runaways). Apart from being one based in a pseudo Land of the Rising Sun, Big Hero 6 is not exactly the kind of material any less-than-hardcore Marvel Zombies would remember.

Nonetheless, the first teaser trailer shows the right amount of revision required to make this an enticing project and right now, I'm just happy that Hiro Takachiho, now known as Hiro Hamada, is completely rebooted with an all-new, all-different, all-obese Baymax.

With no further ado, here's the first teaser trailer for the animated feature.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Big Hero 6,” an action comedy adventure about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the CG-animated “Big Hero 6” hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.

Big Hero 6 is currently scheduled to be released on 7th November 2014.
