Interstellar: New Trailer & First Poster

Courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures' release of the new trailer and poster of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, here's our second look at what is easily one of our most anticipated films of 2014

Featuring a stellar ensemble cast with the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine, the upcoming sci-fi film Interstellar caught our eye as the single most anticipated film of the year simply on the strength of British film-maker Christopher Nolan, one of our favorite film-makers here at The Daily Zombies.

We have earlier took a first look at the film with a teaser trailer that is characteristically elusive of what we can expect in the space-faring film. In the latest poster accompanying the first full trailer, we get a new tagline: "Mankind was born on Earth.  It was never meant to die here."

To put that in the context with the moving father-daughter story at play here in the trailer, I strongly believe this could be one of the most emotional space-faring film ever. With no further ado, brace yourself for your first full trailer of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar followed by the first poster.

And here's the first poster of the film.

Inspired by the new trailer, Poster Posse artist Khoa Ho was compelled to conjure a poster for the film. Courtesy of Blurppy, here's what the artist have to say about the piece and the poster after the jump.

Christopher Nolan has yet to disappoint me and after seeing the full Interstellar trailer in all its glory open before Godzilla, it seems as though his greatness will continue. Being someone who has spermatic and bipolar ideas when it comes to art, I had to come home and whip up an alternate poster quick before my short attention span moved to something else.

The original poster for the film is already quite epic and memorable so I wanted to do more of a continuation of the original. Mine adds in the part where we see the space ship flying into the wormhole as seen in the new trailer. It’s also neat that the circular ship dots the letter ‘i’ on ‘interstellar’. This is my most anticipated movie right now…I can’t wait!

Here's the synopsis of the film, courtesy of

Interstellar is a movie by Director, Christopher Nolan (Inception, Dark Night Trilogy).

Mainly based on the scientific theories and script treatment of renowned theoretical physicist, Kip Thorne. Interstellar is set to be released in November 7, 2014.

Nolan and Emma Thomas are producing with Lynda Obst, and Jordan Goldberg is exec producing. Obst commissioned the original treatment and Steven Spielberg came aboard in 2006, when Paramount owned DreamWorks and after the filmmaker became intrigued by Caltech physicist and relativity expert Kip S. Thorne and his scientific theory that wormholes exist and can be used for time travel. Spielberg set Jonah Nolan to write the script, which made it easy for Christopher Nolan to come aboard after Spielberg left the project. The ambition is that Interstellar will depict a heroic voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding.

The film is co-finaced by Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment. In coming to a deal with its rival studio, Warners, which maintains an overall deal with Nolan's Syncopy label, relinquished to Paramount its rights to co-finance the next Friday the 13th horror film as well as a potential future South Park movie, which are two properties that were originally owned by Paramount before being brought by Warners. Also included in the negotiations was an agreement to let Paramount co-finance a to-be-determined A-list Warners property.

Interstellar is set to open on 7th November 2013.
