Final Fantasy VII G-Bike: First Look - E3 2014

Posted by The Daily Zombies Wednesday, June 11, 2014

As we prepare ourselves for a full-blast remake of one of the best video games ever made, Final Fantasy VII, here's a little something from Square Enix to tide us over:  Final Fantasy VII G-Bike, scheduled to be released on iOS and Android later this year.

Back in 2005, we were astounded by the awesome tech demo remake of the opening sequence of Final Fantasy VII, meant as a display of then-next-gen console PlayStation 3's graphical capabilities. And ever since then, we have been quietly awaiting for a full-blown remake of one of the greatest video games in history. Indeed, we here at The Daily Zombies have played more RPG than any undead have had any reasons to and our verdict is Final Fantasy VII is, bar none, the very best in RPG, nostalgia notwithstanding.

With the mobile versions of Final Fantasy I to VI released, everybody is now looking for this particular remake on the smartphone platform. While it was previously rumored that the title will simply take up too much size on the smartphones, we have yet to get a clue on whether the title, remake or original, will be released at all. And along came Final Fantasy VII G-Bike.

Remember that incredible highway motorbike chase in the earlier part of FFVII, and the later races at the Gold Saucer? Well, now it is an actual game by itself for the smartphone users as we continue our drawn-out wait for the big one to arrive.

With no further ado, check out the announcement trailer right below.

And here 's a good ol' taste of the original.
