Be blown away with an awesome bird-eye view at the Original Trilogy of Star Wars courtesy of artist Andy Fairhurst

With the somewhat surreal news of the kick-off of the filming of the much-anticipated Star Wars Episode VII by J.J. Abram, what we can do to curb that all-consuming anticipation would be to revel ourselves in the Original Trilogy (no, not the Prequel Trilogy).

And that is precisely what Poster Posse member and artist Andy Fairhurst delivered in style. Courtesy of Blurppy, we get to have a unique bird-eye view at the iconic landscape of the films with a subtle secret image embedded in each prints.

Here's what Fairhurst has to say on the series:

“It always comes back to Star Wars with me! As much as I love the whole of Geekdom and all it’s wonders, Star Wars is the Granddaddy of them all and one I will never tire of interpreting. This is an idea I had to tie in with a series of posters I am doing all viewed from the same birds-eye perspective, although, the heights do vary from image to image depending on the scene and movie. But back to this trio and I have indicated with the number of craft in each poster the order of the movies. I saw these at the cinema as a wee lad and they will always be the original three for me. As much as I loved Darth Maul and thought Jango Fett was kinda cool, ‘The Phantom Menace’, ‘Attack Of The Clones’ and ‘Revenge Of The Sith’ will never be the first 3 for me. Mind you, my 5 year old Star Wars nut son would disagree with me on that!”

Before you head over to Andy Fairhurst's page to purchase these prints, hit the jump to have a good look at the stunning series.
