Men, Women & Children: First Look

In Men, Women & Children, acclaimed film-maker Jason Reitman tackle the real problem of this generation: Social Media, as we take a First Look courtesy of the first trailer of the film based on the novel of the same name written by controversial writer Chad Kultgen.

Jason Reitman is easily one of this generation's most prolific and intriguing film-maker given his remarkable body of work from Thank You For Smoking to Labor Day (despite what you might feel against the divisive Labor Day). After all, this is the film-maker who brought us true cinematic gems like June and Up in the Air, as well as four Academy Award nominations. While all these facts can more than justify our interests in Reitman's next project no matter what they are, the newly-released trailer of Reitman's upcoming still manages to entice us tremendously.

An adaptation of the novel of the same name written by controversial writer Chad Kultgen, the first trailer of Men, Women & Children displays to us on how joyless it could be for youths of this generation to live in this time and age in a particular moving way. Check out the trailer right below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

“MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN” follows the story of a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they attempt to navigate the many ways the internet has changed their relationships, their communication, their self-image, and their love lives. The film attempts to stare down social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and the proliferation of illicit material on the internet. As each character and each relationship is tested, we are shown the variety of roads people choose – some tragic, some hopeful – as it becomes clear that no one is immune to this enormous social change that has come through our phones, our tablets, and our computers.

Men, Women & Children is currently scheduled to premiered in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival in September with a limited release on October 3, 2014, before opening wide October 17, 2014.
