One of the most acclaimed survival horror franchise in video game history returns with the involvement of Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, visionary Mexican film-maker Guillermo del Toro, and actor Norman Reedus! Brace yourself for our First Look at Silent Hills with the announcement trailer revealed at Gamescom.

Earlier last month, we just talked about the return of notable franchise in the particular sub-genre of Survival Horror when we had our First Look at Tecmo Koei's Nintendo Wii U-exclusive Fatal Frame V. And here we are at Gamescom with the stunning unveiling of Silent Hills.

Marking the return of Konami's critically acclaimed Survival Horror game series, an announcement teaser trailer was originally showcased to display the excitement of those trying out the then-undisclosed first person horror game. Then came the latest interactive teaser trailer where an especially annoying female player who just can't contained her excitement in a less irritating way that later find herself getting out of the horror house at the end of the teaser trailer as the character she has been playing as turned around to revealed that he is none other than Daryl Dixon himself (from AMC's The Walking Dead), Norman Reedus, right after dropping the double bombshell that both Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and visionary Mexican film-maker Guillermo del Toro will also be involved in the latest installment of the series, unveiled as Silent Hills.

While many were first exposed to the announcement trailer via the aforementioned teaser clip complete with the irksome commentaries, we have managed to find the blissfully "silent" version of the same clip for your enjoyment right below.

For those with a penchant for masochism, you can check out the irksome original announcement right below. You have been warned so do go in with the volume down a few notches.

No word on the consoles available for the title though it is a no-brainer for Sony PlayStation (3 and or 4) to be included since the interactive teaser clip was made available earlier on at the PlayStation Store.
