American Horror Story: Freak Show - First Look - Undead Monday

Posted by The Daily Zombies Monday, September 8, 2014

This Undead Monday, we take a First Look at the fourth outing of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's horror anthology with American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Well, it will be Halloween soon enough and if there's something you can count on for your small screen entertainment during All Hallow's Eve, it will be AMC's The Walking Dead, and of course, yet another new installment of FX's horror anthology by co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story.

Featuring the return of Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy,  and Evan Peters, with Michael Chiklis joining the cast, Freak Show will touch on the carnival aspect of the horror genre with a story set in Jupiter, Florida, circa 1952. In this particular Freak Show run by none other than Jessica Lange's character, Elsa Mars, Sarah Paulson plays a pair of Siamese Twins, Bette and Dot Tattler, Kathy Bates is a bearded lady, Angela Bassett is a three-boob lady, with Michael Chiklis being the strongman of the Freak Show. And all that is before John Caroll Lynch's role as Twisty, the killer clown show up.

Here's a good sneak peek at the film with the release of the first official trailer of the series. Check it out right below, followed by the images.

And here's the creepy first poster of the season, featuring most of the cast at work.

Here's the official synopsis of the series:

American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

Like its earlier predecessors, American Horror Story: Freak Show is a thirteen-episode series kicking off this Wednesday at FX.
