American Sniper: New Trailer, Clip, Posters & Images

Posted by The Daily Zombies Thursday, December 18, 2014

We take another look at Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper's American Sniper with the next wave of marketing campaign focusing on the story of the most lethal sniper in U.S. history in this well-received biographical action film following its world premiere at American Film Institute Festival last month.

No matter how you look at Clint Eastwood's career as a director, his cinematic works continue to be immediately arresting the attentions of many a cinephiles across the world. And when the master himself took on the role to bring to life the story of the late U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in Navy history with 160 confirmed kills out of 255 probable kills, we know we are in for an intriguing treat.

We have had our First Look at the biographical action film back in October with the release of its premiere trailer. With the film set to be released on Christmas Day, Warner Bros. Pictures has released a second trailer, a new clip, some new posters, as well a series of official images from the film.

While the first trailer does a remarkable job setting us up for the roller-coaster ride in one single scene from the film, the astounding weight of the eponymous character continues to entice us with what appears to be an incredible character study in a maddening environment with Kyle's four tours in Iraq in this second trailer. Check out the trailer right below.

And this the newly-released clip entitled. "Most Wanted Man in Iraq".

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

From director Clint Eastwood comes “American Sniper,” starring Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history.  But there was much more to him than his skill as a sharpshooter.  U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is sent to Iraq with only one mission: to protect his brothers-in-arms.  His pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and, as stories of his courageous exploits spread, he earns the nickname “Legend.”  However, his reputation is also growing behind enemy lines, putting a price on his head and making him a prime target of insurgents.  He is also facing a different kind of battle on the home front: striving to be a good husband and father from halfway around the world.  Despite the danger, as well as the toll on his family at home, Chris serves through four harrowing tours of duty in Iraq, personifying the SEAL creed to “leave no man behind.”  But upon returning to his wife, Taya Renae Kyle (Sienna Miller), and kids, Chris finds that it is the war he can’t leave behind.

Starring Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Jake McDorman, Luke Grimes, Navid Negahban, and Keir O’Donnell, American Sniper is set to be released on 25th December.
