Terminator: Genisys - Super Bowl TV Spot & New Poster

Posted by The Daily Zombies Thursday, January 29, 2015

With the relentless marketing machine of most major film studios hitting full-time at the highly-coveted Super Bowl commercial airtime at Sunday' Super Bowl XLIX, Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have provided another close look at their upcoming "Machine" as they unveil the Super Bowl TV spot for Terminator: Genisys.

With Super Bowl XLIX hitting the advertising industry like a whirlwind this Sunday with the most-viewed television event of the year, marketing machines behind most major film releases of the year are working overtime to churn out their best shots in grabbing the eyeballs of audiences and run (much like the Big Game). While there have been a slew of annoying releases of teasers for these full TV spots debuting at Sunday's Super Bowl, Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have been gracious enough to grant us another good look at their very own machine: Namely, Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator.

The Governator is back in a big way with this brand new TV spot with a nifty focus on his white-haired, good ol' T-800 (yeah, apparently machines aged these days). Check out the action-packed trailer right below, followed by the unveiling of a cool new poster continuing the theme of focus on the original Terminator.

Here's the new poster featuring The Terminator.

And here's the newly-released official synopsis of the film.

When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…

Featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke (for once, the actors portraying the Connors actually share their last names), Matt Smith, Byung-hun Lee, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, and J.K. Simmons, Terminator Genisys is currently scheduled to be released on 1st July 2015.
