Avengers: Age of Ultron - New Trailer, Posters & Images

Posted by The Daily Zombies Wednesday, March 4, 2015

With the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron merely two months away, Marvel Studios ramp up their marketing campaign with a slew of items including this truly awesome third trailer reminding you exactly the scale and scope the sequel to Joss Whedon's box-office smashing big screen run of Marvel's The Avengers.

So here we are now, a mere two months away from the penultimate chapter of Marvel Studios' box-office smashing Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two (although deep down in our Undead and Marvel Zombies, we all know is a much bigger chapter than Peyton Reed and Paul Rudd's Ant-Man, the official conclusion). Yes, we are at the verge of losing all shits with the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and if your thick skulls is somehow obstructing you in getting a sense of the massive scale and scope that the sequel to 2012's all-conquering Avengers is driving at, Marvel Studios is more than happy to pump some adrenaline and brain juices into you with their latest marketing onslaught for one of the (two) most anticipated films of 2015.

Apart from the release of some cool Fathead wall decals, official images and set photos, a character poster sets (along with two atrociously poor official posters), the main event at the marketing game in the tentpole film franchises is, without a shadow of a doubt, the trailer. And in this biggest trailer yet, we get to have brief glimpse at Hulk and Black Widow's budding romance, more shared scenes between all Avengers, high-stakes battles that are seemingly impossible to win, as well as, lo and behold, our first official look at The Vision in what appears to be the first time the android opens his eyes.

With no further ado, brace yourself for the trailer right below.

As always, speculate away with these cool screenshots (mostly GIFs) captured from the trailer for your reference.

The money shot featuring the team in action.

The brother and sisterhood of evil mutants at work over The Avengers.

The cool, new Avengers Tower.

A not-too-subtle budding romance between The Hulk and Black Widow.

Showdown.

Thor gives his best "Come at me, bro' trash-talk.

And guess what? Ultron came, with all his "bros". Tens of thousands of them, at the very least.

And Cap turned to the God of Thunder, "You had to ask?"

And finally, The Vision opens his eyes for the very first time. Love that pair of android eyes.

On the cover(s) of the March issue of Empire. we have The Avengers, both old and new sans The Vision, lined up on the standard edition while Ultron alone graces the cover for the subscriber edition.

Here are some of the recently-released official images and set photos from the film.

Here are the recently-released set of character posters and two particularly poor posters (both domestic and international versions) of the official poster.

First up, the god-awful "bad Photoshop" key poster one would not expect to come from an official source. Truly, fans would have easily conjured a better one with no trouble.

And by back-pedaling to have Iron Man coming back front and center, the international version manages to break the low, low bar set by the domestic version.

And here are the character poster set.

And last but not least, Fathead is gearing up for the release of a new line of wall decals for the film with some pretty cool images of the characters from the film. You can check them out on the Fathead website.

Here's the official synopsis for the film:

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.  Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963. Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Jeremy Latcham, Patricia Whitcher, Stan Lee and Jon Favreau serve as executive producers. Get set for an action-packed thrill ride when The Avengers return in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” on May 1, 2015.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently scheduled for release on May 1, 2015 in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
