Inside Out: New Trailer

Posted by The Daily Zombies Tuesday, March 10, 2015

In the newly-released trailer for Pixar's Inside Out, we get a brand new look at the sheer scope and scale of the imaginative animation conjured by Pete Docter with a good, more-than-close-up look inside the human mind.

When we called Pixar's Inside Out as not just the single most anticipated animated films of the year but simply amongst the most anticipated films of one hell of a 2015 during our First Look at the animated film, we certainly meant it even though we don't that much information on the animated film back then.

And here we are with Disney releasing the second trailer of the film, as we figured out more of the intricate details of the high concept animated film. Apparently, Joy (Amy Poehler) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) are somehow stranded into the far end of the human mind after Sadness inadvertently corrupted the memories of the protagonist child (being Sadness, she simply saddened every memories, which is a sheer nightmare). In a bid to return to main emotional core HQ, both Joy and Sadness get to experience all kinds of mental stuff including but not limited to a dream factory not unlike the stereotypical Hollywood studio.

Embedded right below, check out the new trailer of Inside Out, directed by Pete Docter and co-director Ronnie del Carmen.

Here's the newly-released poster for the animated film.

The international posters.

And here's the official synopsis of the animated film.

From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In 2015, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all – inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

In the roles of the young girl's emotions; Amy Poehler as Joy, Mindy Kaling as Disgust, Lewis Black as Anger, Bill Hader as Fear, and Phyllis Smith as Sadness. Inside Out is currently scheduled for release on 19th June 2015.
