Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Final Trailer

Posted by The Daily Zombies Tuesday, October 20, 2015

"It's true. All of it. The Dark Side, the Jedi. They're real."

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... The Force Awakens! Bid farewell to your mundane, functional life as Disney and Lucasfilm unleashed the third and final trailer of J. J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII during the halftime break of Monday Night Football.

Late last year, we have our First Look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens with the release of the first teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the much anticipated Episode VII of arguably the biggest sci-fi franchise ever. Then during the Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim back in April, Disney unveiled the second teaser trailer featuring our very first look at Harrison Ford's return as Han Solo. And here we are with anticipation shaping up to be just like 1999 all over again (reference to the most unfortunate Phantom Menace). But this time, we are more than hopeful than ever before and all eyes are on J.J. Abrams and Disney to deliver the impossibly anticipated sequel to one of the most beloved franchise in cinematic history with less than two month away.

With film's release so near to us, Disney and Lucasfilm has decided to release the third and final trailer to the film where we expect to witness more revealing details than ever before. So without any further ado, brace yourself for an epic trailer embedded right below.

Done watching the trailer for the twentieth time? There will be more to come, trust me. As always, we are here to capture all those spine-tingling and heartbreaking epic moments in screenshots.

First up, the trailer open instantly with a shot on Rey, portrayed by Daisy Ridley, in perhaps one of her fusion get-up salvaged from a Stormtrooper.

And the location for salvation seems to be a huge, huge place that is possibly the heart of a Star Destroyer.

Rey and her little droid buddy, BB-8. The voice of Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, the space pirate asks, “Who are you?” And Rey answered, "I'm no one", dropping more than a hint of her potentially prolific origins.

General Hux addressing the First Order.

A First Order TIE Fighter down, presumingly Finn's.

And here we have Finn, portrayed by John Boyega. “I was raised to do one thing. But I’ve got nothing to fight for."

Lo and behold. Kylo Ren. “Nothing will stand in our way. I will finish what you started.” Kylo to Darth Vader’s mask.”

Some Jedi torture on Poe Dameron, we presumed?

The Millennium Falcon in action.

Rey asked, “Those stories about what happened.” Han answered, "It's true. All of it. The Dark Side, the Jedi. They're real."

The Millennium hyper jumps.

A badass scene of Kylo Ren and his equally cool knights.

X-Wings versus TIE Fighters as the First Order Stormtroopers creep in.

Dameron and Finn, presumably in the Resistance base.

Dogfight! Dogfight!

Mandalorian skull symbol in the flag atop this temple?

Another look at Luke's black hand on R2D2.

The beloved chrome trooper herself, Captain Phasma, portrayed by Gwendoline Christie.

Kill shot.

Here's the shot where many has speculated to be Chewbacca's body beside the weeping Rey.

We are intrigued in what Finn, Chewie, and Han just witnessed here.

BB-8 in action.

More dogfights!

An intense Rey shoots the hell out of her blaster.

X-Wing versus Stormtrooper.

Kylo in a shot that we are familiar by now.

Millennium Falcom destroyed?

Finally, Princess Leia, as portrayed by Carrie Fisher, in a sorrowful mood.

And yes, Finn is a jedi.

And his confident composure soon turned into a fearful one as an unmasked Kyle Ren emerge.

That's all, folks. Until December 18th.

Here's the first poster released to coincide with the release of the final trailer.

Another cut.

Here's a commemorative poster conjured by the one and only Star Wars poster veteran, Drew Struzan himself, for the attendees at Disney's D23 Expo back in August.

And here's the first exclusive poster conjured by artist Dan Mumford that will be available for those attending the IMAX 3D Sunday screenings at AMC Theaters between December 20th and January 10th for the film.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, opens in theaters December 18, 2015. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, and features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
